The 180 test is a typographic exercise for aspiring typographers, type lovers and typoholics.
This exercise aims to raise the awareness about the importance of literacy and vocabulary as typographers.
How? Firstly, you must time yourself using a stopwatch, allowing yourself only 180 seconds (3 minutes) to write down as many words as you can for each letter of the alphabet. You are not allowed to re-use the same words by adjusting the plural or tense such as; eat and ate or walk and walked. This does not demonstrate the depth of your vocabulary.
Once you have done this (the content) for all 26 letters of the alphabet, you must then display your vocabulary in any manner or form. But you must use a single A1 piece of paper. Those are your only restrictions. - A-Z. - 180 seconds. - A1 paper. Send your results to: kensic@hotmail.com Where they will be published onto this blog.
